You'll get a lot of confirmation bias opinions though. There's too much subjectivity - and straying into the "don't cares" you mention - beyond that. I am not 100% sure there is a "best" between Alpha Prime and MCG Ultimate simply because - both premium, both sit on a good gimbal 1 with plenty of tuning options, both many controls. There's no difference in centering and twist ability of course that I feel since that's all the 'same' mechanics between the three VKB grips I have used with twist (Kosmo Prem, MCG-Ultimate.the original MCG-Pro also did have one I added as the swappable module later), and of course the gimbals are the same generation, with my chosen intentional differences in cam and spring selection based on my use model. (Which isn't something I thought mattered before - I used to scoff at people who liked the Warthog "because metal".) The controls are also far more tactile and feel more.professional than 'clicky'. So I can attest that the MCG-Ultimate feels better in the hand than the MCG-Pro, and than the Kosmo Premium even, because of being well finished metal. My gimbals have all been Gunfighter II's but from different minor revision lots, and both upgraded to Gunfighter III's at this point. But have worked my way thru VKB from original release MCG-Pro (they don't even distinguish it that way anymore) to the MCG-Ultimate, and also have a Kosomsima Premium LH. I don't have ANY Virpil experience, at all. Since a premium stick purchase (and top of the line no less) tends to be kind of a 'commit' to one brand or another, outside of those who review for a living, not sure you'll find many who have feet in both camps to that degree.
